To engage North End underserved residents in mitigating polluted neighborhood runoff and foster relationships between the City’s Dept of Utilities and local funders. 

The project demonstrated that no matter what the obstacles in carrying out what was originally planned, if working as a team an alternative can be found.  

Having constant communication is key when circumstances cause unavoidable delays. Communication with funders and local government kept the relationships going, even though the project extended well beyond the original grant period.  

Communicating to the community that this was “Their” project created inclusivity and built trust.
