Become a member of The Funders Network (TFN) and your organization will join more than 130 foundations across the U.S. and Canada committed to creating communities and regions that are sustainable, prosperous and equitable.

Membership in TFN provides valuable access to knowledge, relationships and impact.

As a mission-driven membership organization, TFN delivers a range of member services, supports issue- and place-based funder collaboratives and working groups, cultivates key partnerships, and provides funders with opportunities to strengthen their skills as leaders in the sector. Membership in TFN is open to all foundations, giving programs, philanthropy serving organizations, intermediaries, units of local government, regional associations of grantmakers and funder collaboratives.

To be eligible, your organization should primarily act as a grantmaker, not as a grantseeker.

TFN strives to provide our members with the tools, connections, partnerships and resources they need to inform and strengthen their grantmaking. TFN members have the opportunity to:

• Access preferred attendance and discounted registration rates for TFN networking events and meetings, including our TFN Annual Conference.
• Access TFN’s Member Portal, a peer-to-peer platform featuring a searchable Funder Directory, an Event Resources library of recordings and learning materials, and options to update your individual TFN funder profile and program affiliations.
• Increase their knowledge of a broad suite of issues tied to environmental sustainability, economic prosperity, and diversity, equity and inclusion, through our funders-only webinars and peer learning calls.
• Remain up to date on the challenges and opportunities shaping philanthropy through our newsletters, publications and other informational resources produced by TFN.
• Share stories about your organization’s grantmaking impact, areas of focus and lessons learned through TFN digital and print publications, as well as share news of new hires, promotions and job opportunities through our communications channels.
• Deepen your professional network and connect with your peers across the sector to foster collaboration, troubleshoot challenges and share best strategies.
• Hone your leadership skills by volunteering on steering committees and advisory boards, leading or participating in TFN funders-only webinars, and developing unique session ideas and presentations for our TFN Annual Conference and working group meetings.
